President Trump stopped in Japan on his Asia trip, meeting with the country’s emperor. Also planned during the trip is a meeting with China’s Xi Jinping. Mr. Trump said he thinks “we’re going to have a good deal with China” after months of trade tensions. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said there was a breakthrough over the weekend in talks with his Chinese counterpart.
