DEA warns about growing threat of nitazene, synthetic opioid far more powerful than fentanyl

Overdose deaths, fueled mostly by fentanyl, have been on a steady decline since 2023, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, but now the Drug Enforcement Agency is warning of a new synthetic drug hitting the streets. CBS New York’s Jennifer Bisram reports.
