Macron says hostage release is a “requirement” before embassy opens in a Palestinian state

French President Emmanuel Macron tells “Face the Nation with Margaret Brennan” that he plans this week at the U.N. General Assembly to formalize his country’s decision to recognize a Palestinian state. But, he added that it is a “requirement” that Hamas release the remaining hostages before France would open an embassy.
